TIFFANY HUTCHISON M.A., LPC, CADC I
I am a Master's level counselor, with over 20 years of experience in the helping profession. I am here to provide a safe and supportive environment where you can be free to explore thoughts, feelings and emotions. Our thoughts play a significant role in our actions and behaviors and together we will identify healthier thought patterns and new coping strategies. It takes courage and emotional strength to explore issues that are keeping us stuck. My hope for those that I serve is to support and encourage you as you learn to adjust, cope, explore or implement change in your life. Counseling can be a complex and challenging process, however, I believe the benefits are worth it. As your counselor, I strive to approach counseling in an integrative way with an emphasis on a person-centered, strength based and cognitive-behavioral approach as we explore your concerns.
I have experience working with a variety of diagnoses, including: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma and PTSD, Suicidal Ideation, Grief and Loss, Self- Esteem, Substance Use, Codependency, Coping Skills, Relationship Issues, Personal growth, Sleep/ Insomnia and Mood disorders. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development from Warner Pacific College and a Masters in Counseling from Multnomah University. My graduate coursework included: Counseling Theory, Foundations of Counseling and Human Diversity and Principles, Counseling in Brief Therapy and Crisis Intervention, Grief, trauma, Death and Dying, Suicide Prevention and Marriage, Couple and Family Systems.
